Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) are quite sociable birds (in contrast to Red Legged Partridge who are usually seen only in pairs). Towards the end of the summer and into autumn they form groups, known as “Coveys” of up to twenty or so. I’ve read they also roost together, all facing outward, in what is termed a “jug” or a “jug” depending on which book you read. I’ve never seen this as these jugs usually only form up after nightfall - I think it would make an interesting challenge to try and observe one one day.
