The Thief of the Rose - SOLD OUT
£490.00
I’ve got 1 “Artists Proof” print of this etching available. This will be the last print of this edition that will be available to buy.
Named after the owl that stole the rose in Geoffrey Chaucer’s poem “The Parliament of the Fowles” and thereafter condemned to fly only by night by its peers. A punishment that the owls haven’t really stuck too - this Barn Owl (Tyto alba) is one I often see hunting at dawn and dusk in the fields around my studio.
Line etching and Aquatint. 24” x 18”
Unframed only for postage
